Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-05-21.

1. Agreement

By installing, downloading, or using the pakx command-line interface, the pakx.dev website, or the registry.pakx.dev service (collectively, the Service), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Accounts

The Service authenticates users via GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for the security of your GitHub account and for any actions taken with API tokens issued to you. Revoke any token you suspect has been compromised from registry.pakx.dev/dashboard/tokens.

3. Published packages

You retain all rights in packages you publish. By publishing, you grant pakx the worldwide, non-exclusive license needed to host, copy, distribute, and display the package so the Service can serve it to other users. You represent that you have the right to grant that license.

4. Acceptable use

Do not publish content that is illegal, infringing, malicious (including malware, credential harvesters, or crypto miners), or that you do not have the right to distribute. We may remove any package and suspend any account that violates this section without prior notice.

5. Service availability

The Service is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee uptime, durability of stored artifacts, or backward compatibility of any API during the pre-1.0 period. Mirror packages you depend on.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination we may retain audit logs for as long as is reasonably needed to investigate abuse or comply with law.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the Service and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from use of the Service.

8. Changes

We may change these terms. Material changes will be announced on pakx.dev. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
